Goals and Long-Range Planning
Goals:
· Prioritize infusing College, Career and Life Ready Skills into all 4K-12 curriculum and instructional approaches.
· Engage students in the application of the skills, knowledge, behaviors and expertise necessary to succeed in work and in life in the 21st century.
· Develop self-directed learners who think creatively, work collaboratively with others, and reason conceptually to solve important issues on a global scale.
Long Range Planning:
· Each fall, annually review the ACP program with emphasis on meaningful engagement of ALL students, expanding community and industry connections and strengthening family involvement. This review will be done by the ACP Committee during September and October meetings. Suggested changes will be made to the School Board approved ACP Plan prior to presenting it to the School Board for annual approval in November.
· Engage with CESA 10, workforce agencies and post-secondary institutions to stay abreast of current educational practices and policies and workforce demands by attending workshops and professional development opportunities as they are offered.
Evaluation and Measurement:
· Goals will be measured by reviewing the following sources of feedback:
o Annual senior “NHS Post Graduation Survey” (Google Form) in May that addresses specific curricular areas, college/career preparation and self-evaluation of 21st century skills possessed.
o Annual high school staff “ACP Feedback Survey” (Google Forms) in October that surveys staff satisfaction with the ACP program and staff opinion of student outcomes.
o Annual written reflections from students in grades 9 & 10 addressing classroom guidance topics, academic advising lessons and career advising lessons.
